President’s Message 2023-2024

Thank you for your confidence and re-electing me as your President for the 2023-2024 season.

The sport of bowls is always changing with the advent of live streaming, online bookings, and a huge variety of different events to suit everyone’s needs. Many people are “time poor” these days, and the introduction of Bowls 3Five and sets play is designed to give those members who wish to play competitive bowls, but not spend the whole day on the green, a chance to play.

Bowls is a great way to meet people from all walks of life and an opportunity to match your skill against theirs.

My Mission Statement for the Club is to retain our reputation as a competitive and friendly bowling club which aims to run as many different events as practicable to cater for all our members.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the incoming Board for making themselves available, and for bringing their experience and knowledge for the benefit of the Club. My sincere thanks also go to all our members who contribute and make St Heliers Bowling Club the very successful Club it is.
