I am looking forward to representing St Heliers as your President and all that it entails, as well as any challenges that will arise.
A big thank you must go to all our members for participating in club events and making St Heliers the friendly and successful club it is. We are extremely lucky to have a large number of members bringing their wealth of knowledge and expertise, generously donating their time to ensure the Club runs smoothly and remains financially stable.
Roger Seaton has done a fantastic job in securing sponsorship from many organisations and I cannot stress strongly enough how important it is for our members to support these sponsors whenever possible, so we can continue to participate in all the social and bowling activities which we all so enjoy. A growing number of new members is essential to the wellbeing of any club. Personal recommendations and word of mouth are the best way to achieve this.
St Heliers has the advantage of a very successful coaching programme due to the hard work and enthusiasm of our coaches Barclay, Catherine and Amy to whom we are very grateful.
Lastly, I would like to acknowledge the commitment and huge amount of time Richard Kempthorne spent overseeing the laying of the new carpet green. The green is playing extremely well and is a fantastic addition to our Club facilities.
